Session 1: Motivation and Goals What is it? Motivation is the energy or reason behind what we do. Goals are the things we want to achieve. Together, they keep us moving forward in life. Why is it important? Without motivation, we may feel stuck. Without goals, we may feel lost. Knowing how to set goals and motivate ourselves helps us grow, succeed, and stay focused. Why do we need to know this?  Because everyone wants to achieve something— big or small. Learning how to stay motivated makes it easier to reach dreams and handle challenges. Deep thinking Questions:
  1. What motivates you the most: rewards, passion, or responsibility?
  2. Do you prefer small goals every day or one big goal for the future? Why?
  3. How do you feel when you achieve a goal?
  4. Have you ever failed at a goal? What did you learn?
  5. Do you think motivation comes from inside you or from others?
  6. Who inspires you to keep going?
  7. Do you think money is a strong motivator? Why or why not?
Silly and Fun Questions:
  1. If motivation was a drink, what would it taste like?
  2. What’s the funniest goal you could set for yourself this week?
  3. If goals had a mascot, what would it be?
  4. Which emoji best describes how motivated you are today?
  5. What silly reward could you give yourself for completing a goal?
  6. If motivation was a food, would it be fast food or fine dining?
  7. If motivation was a cartoon character, who would it be?
  8. Which animal would make the best “goal coach”?
