🏢 Brida Office Group Template

🔹 Group Menu (Tabs)

Here’s a suggested structure, with Brida-flavored names and functions:

  1. Lobby (default Activity)
    • First stop, like a reception area.
    • Informal updates, greetings, quick posts.
    • Use for “watercooler” chatter.
  2. Meeting Room (Forum)
    • Formal discussions.
    • Good for threaded, trackable conversations.
    • Agenda notes, follow-ups, archived debates.
  3. Filing Cabinet (Documents / Docs)
    • Shared files, reports, guidelines.
    • Version-controlled documents (wiki mode if enabled).
    • Think of it as the office drawer where everything important is kept.
  4. Noticeboard (Group Extras page)
    • Pinned announcements, deadlines, office rules.
    • Could be a mix of static text and occasional embedded polls.
  5. Projects Whiteboard (Group Extras page + Trello/Asana/Notion embed)
    • Live Kanban board or task tracker.
    • Updates visible instantly in the group.
    • Feels like a physical whiteboard in the office.
  6. Calendar Room (Group Calendar plugin or embedded Google Calendar)
    • Meeting dates, deadlines, events.
    • Integrates with Zoom links if you want.
  7. Knowledge Library (Docs in wiki mode, or Notion embed)
    • Internal “wiki” for onboarding, SOPs, FAQs.
    • A space for accumulated know-how.
  8. Coffee Corner (Chat integration)
    • Light, real-time group chat.
    • For quick questions and bonding.
    • Mirrors the informal corner of an office.
  9. Office Directory (Group Fields from Group Extras)
    • Custom fields: Team Lead, Responsibilities, Office Hours, Contact Link.
    • Helps members know “who’s who” at a glance.

🔹 Visual Metaphor

  • Lobby = reception desk
  • Meeting Room = conference table
  • Filing Cabinet = drawers of policies/files
  • Noticeboard = corkboard with sticky notes
  • Whiteboard = task/project planning
  • Calendar Room = wall calendar
  • Knowledge Library = shelves of manuals
  • Coffee Corner = break room chat
  • Office Directory = nameplates on doors

🔹 Why It Works

  • It balances professional structure (forums, docs, projects, calendars) with Brida’s playful metaphor (lobby, noticeboard, coffee corner).
  • Every group can be tailored to its purpose — a Marketing Office might lean heavily on Projects Whiteboard + Calendar, while a Research Office might use Knowledge Library + Filing Cabinet.
  • It makes groups feel less like forums and more like functional offices where real work happens.
